smi, 11. Januar 2003 um 12:39:19 MEZ entdeckungsreise textpattern. in der tat sehr interessant und vorallem schön. [via hns] und ich dachte östlich von wien gibt es keine blogger: kkovacs beweist mir das gegenteil. und ich schätze mal das was unter linkek zu finden ist, sind noch andere blogs vorwiegend östlicher provinienz (zB tepi). sehr interessant auch das journablog, eines der wenigen mit klarem konzept:
So trage ich schon lange die Idee in mir, eine Website zum Thema Biografie, biografisches und autobiografisches Schreiben ins Leben zu rufen. Und nun ist es soweit: Am 1. kottke hat recht, warum nicht webbrowsing auf die nächste ebene heben und mit den (bereits existierenden) applikationen verbinden? ich persönlich kann dem tabbed browsing sehr viel abgewinnen, vorallem weil der sidebarversuch in netscape/mozilla nicht wirklich überzeugend war. die sidebars waren immer zu schmal, zu langsam und zu wenig personalisierbar. Januar 2003 um 16:22:48 MEZ moblogs are coming ein nächster schritt in richtung integration von mobilen endgeräten und blogs (palmila und ähnliche waren ein erster schritt): foneblog, ein produkt von newBay software. würde mich sehr interessieren welche technologie hinter den blogs steckt, sieht verdammt nach greymatter, movable type oä. aus. (die beispiele dürften momentan aber noch statisch sein). [via lgr, dwr] bin gespannt ob die telekom firmen auf den trend aufspringen, im prinzip müsste das genau jene applikation gewesen sein nach der mms gesucht hat. dave winer und auch herr langreiter haben jedoch vollkommen recht, es wäre weitaus sinnvoller das über einen standard abzuwickeln der es allen weblog usern ermöglicht mitzumachen. ich möchte mein blog auch ehrlich gesagt nicht unter der url eines telcos oder dessen künstlicher community laufen haben.
The right way to do this, imho, is to connect the phone-to-weblog software through the MetaWeblog API, that way existing weblog users could participate, and new users would have choice of backend software. Any cellphone service provider that buys into this proposal will have to scrap it in a few months when the general solutions come out. Maybe less than a few months. Mobile blogging, or moblogging is very hot. So is choice for users.
vielleicht ein anstoss die metaweblog API auch hier auf antville zu installieren oder aber das läuft über die blogger API oder einen gänzlich neuen standard. mal sehen.

Januar 2003 um 13:06:14 MEZ frisch gestrichen rundherum bekommen alle einen neuen anstrich: ubique, roell (als wahlmöglichkeit) und andrea janssen. dabei ist der frühjahrsputz doch noch lange nicht fällig! apple hielt einige änderungen an khtml für nötig. momentan läuft nicht alles wie geschmiert. ist ja doch aber noch beta. und meine aufregung war doch nicht ganz unbegründet. schliesslich bekommt man als mensch dessen arbeitsgrundlage zu einem gewichtigen teil das internet ist, nicht alle tage einen neuen webbrowser der ab sofort unterstützt werden will. Die Angaben habe ich mit der Karte von Maporama herausfinden können. Meta-Tag in den Header, ein Ping auf der GeoURL-Website - schon fertig.

na dann los, ich freu mich schon lange darauf auch location informationen über websites zu bekommen, da fallen mir doch auf anhieb einige anwendungen ein die da spass machen würden, wenngleich die in eine gänzlich andere richtung gehen als martin das andenkt. schade einzig, dass das anzeigen der acme maps nicht funktioniert. sehr interessant unter anderem die blogs rund um eine stadt (zB ny) und die tatsache dass alle outputs auch als rss erhältlich sind. so könnte zB ho via rss alle seiten in seiner umgebung in sein blog einbauen. so wie ich ihn kenne wird er das auch bald tun... slowburn hat mich übrigens auf etwas hingewiesen. danke! das zeigt, google's not almighty. unter wamp spielt sich eher politik ab, unter wampp wird man dann doch fündig. abseits des internet nennt man soetwas einen "sager":

Download it, read doc/usage.txt for things that (should) work and doc/issues.txt as well as doc/todo.txt for things that do not quite. The short-term goal is to make it bug-free, the mid-term goal to produce something comparable to Tinderbox with a strong connection to Vanilla (and probably similar systems) and the long-term goal, as always, world domination.
ein gedanke der mir bei ansicht des mitgelieferten screenshots kommt: wäre das nicht mal ein interessantes kunstprojekt die screenshots von all den zahlreichen screenshots die so durchs internet geistern zu sammeln? schliesslich liefert das einen ganz besonderen einblick in das was hinter dem jeweiligen nutzer steht, sein tor zum www. so zB bei herrn langreiter rebol, k, putty und ein seltsames icon (the bat!) in der taskleiste. oder der unter "knowledge workern" omnipräsente research ordner auf einem win2000 desktop, vermutlich ein notebook erkennbar an dem pcmcia icon rechts unten. und es ist exakt 16:27 als winamp ein stück musik von hier oder hier abspielt. gottseidank bin ich kein künstler.  link me ...
